It is amazing how wonderful it is to have a place that you can call your own. With a kitchen, bathroom, your favorite chair, a comfortable bed...it feels great.
We are settled and all moved into our house. When we found out we would be going to the University of Maryland I became very excited and started apartment searching right away. I could not believe how much more expensive College Park was than Provo. Then I could not believe how many places had bug problems and safety problems. I thought it would be impossible to find a place in our budget that we liked and would feel safe in. But we did! We're renting from an awesome family. They are so nice. They left 3 push pops in the freezer for us and toys for Grace to play with. It's a 3 bedroom house. We're using one of the bedrooms as an office. It has room to grow :).
We gave talks yesterday in our new ward about the eternal blessings of marriage and Father's Day. I have really enjoyed our ward so far. There is another woman with Celiac Disease so I can get the sacrament with her. There are several people that have reached out and been so kind to me. I am looking forward to being in one place for so long.
Grace is growing! She is now 15 pounds 11 ounces and 24 and a half inches long. We went to see a dermatologist about her birthmark. She doesn't need surgery! :) Right now we're trying a topical drop that is made for the eye to see if that will reduce the hemangioma. I guess 4 years ago in France they found out that a medicine they've had around for a long time that has been used to treat blood pressure actually treats hemangiomas at a very fast rate. She is still too young for that medicine, so we'll see how this one works.
So we're doing wonderful!
