It took a couple busy weeks of hard work, but we've managed to pack up our stuff and get out to Maryland. It will take another week or so for the "Relocube" with our things to follow us out here, but the important part is that we made it (along with well over 200 pounds of baggage that came with us on the plane). When we left Utah there was fresh snow on the ground, but Maryland is all green, except for bright flowers here and there.
The last couple weeks before the move were especially busy. My parents came out for my graduation, and did a lot to help us pack. In the middle of their visit, we drove down to Arizona for a wedding and to visit some of Mal's family. We drove back on a Monday, my parents left on Tuesday, and Mom Gibbons flew out on Wednesday, and then she and Mal went to Women's Conference at BYU Thursday and Friday. Somehow we managed to get everything packed and taken care of before flying out on Saturday.
The biggest lesson I learned from that whole experience is the importance of taking care of my body. Packing and moving really messed up all of our schedules, and I could feel that I wasn't eating well or getting much of any exercise. Mal and Grace both seemed a little crankier too, but I think we're all doing better now that we are done traveling for a bit.
