Baking at its finest

This is not a baking blog. But we love to bake and cook whatever we have time to create. Aaron's specialty is creating. He'll just randomly put stuff together and it tastes delicious. My growing specialty is Gluten Free baking. I am a new addition to the gluten free world. This was discovered a couple of years ago when I became sick with practically everything I ate. But now, I am happily eating gluten free as long as I have time to create my favorite treats.

Right now we are making dinner. Aaron has concocted (actually using a recipe...mostly) a cranberry pork chop with broccoli dinner. The smells are wafting through the kitchen as I type...making my mouth water. 6:35 on a Sunday always feels so late for dinner. I am making a batch of gluten free pancakes to use for bread this week. Many people will make homemade gluten free bread to have all week, but I actually like the pancake approach. They are fast, easy, and delicious. It is very easy to convert a regular pancake recipe to make it gluten free. And you can just freeze them and eat them for a couple of weeks. Right now I have a huge stack of pancakes ready to go. The next feat is gluten free donuts, which I am very excited about.

We're going to pop in a Christmas movie (I know I know...it's only November 15th, but you can never start too early) and enjoy some delicious delectable gluten free donuts.
