Summer Sum Up and Having a Baby!

It's been quite a while since we've put anything on this blog, and a lot has happened! Fall is approaching quickly and we have made a new goal. We will write every week on our blog. Help keep us to it!

In the interest of keeping things moving, we'll just give the highlights of our summer and then a bit about how we're doing now. Aaron earned some money and had a good experience with an internship with Digi International, while Mallory continued her music teaching at Art City Music Academy. Mallory experienced all the joys of pregnancy, hitting 8 months just in time for August and hot weather. We had a lot of fun just doing regular things with friends and family in Utah, and a few breaks from routine. We saw Joe, Dorit, Tohm, and Tal in June, visited the Gibbons family in July, and Mallory performed in the town of Panguitch for Pioneer Day.

In June, the Israel Nuzman family came to visit with us and the Tenneys as part of their summer tour of the US. We went camping down in Bryce Canyon, which is very beautiful. We learned a lot about the rock formations, animal life, and plant life. We saw bushes with leaves growing vertically, and smelled butterscotch on the pine trees. Mallory was able to teach the Israel Nuzmans and Tenneys about banana boats, which are a delicious, gluten free alternative (much better though) to S'mores.

Around the fourth of July we drove down to California to see the Gibbons clan in what turns out to be our last visit to that location. There was a really nice baby shower thrown down there, and we just really enjoyed visiting everyone. That length of car trip was getting tough on Mal though, because of her pregnancy and all. That month Mal's dad got a job with the Royal Bank of Canada so they began getting ready to move to Raleigh, North Carolina. Now both sets of parents are on the east coast, and only a few hours drive apart.

In late July, Mallory got an excellent chance to show off her cute pregnant belly down in Panguitch, performing for the Pioneer Day celebrations with Corbin, Emily, and Clayton. The best part about it was staying in a cabin by Panguitch Lake and being able to relax.

We moved into BYU's on-campus family housing at the start of August. We're enjoying being in our own place and seem to fit perfectly, with no room to spare. We miss being around the Tenneys as much as we were this summer, but they're definitely still close enough to visit.

The really exciting stuff happened at the end of August, just in time for the start of a new semester. Grace Anne Nuzman was born August 30, 2010, at 2:58pm. She weighed 6 pounds 6 ounces and was 19 inches long. She is definitely the prettiest baby ever born, in our unbiased opinion. It was an easy labor for Dad and he has recovered already. For Mom on the other hand, well, it's a good thing she got someone so cute out of it.

We've included some pictures of her for you to enjoy.
